Lake Odessa Area Historical Society – Depot Museum

The Lake Odessa Area Historical Society began in 1968 with the purpose of preserving and interpreting the history of the Lake Odessa area. This beautiful onion-dome depot was built by the D.L. & N. Railway in 1888 and was moved to its present location 100 years later. After extensive restoration, the depot opened to the public in 1995. The complex also offers the Freight House Museum, the historic Hosford house and the library of the Ionia County Genealogical Society.
